incident at robinson road

i was actually travelling along robinson road, turning into finlayson green. it was a right bend, and i saw a bike coming extremely close to me somewhere behind on the right side. the guy brake, and thus skidded, or he would have crashed into me. i was just following my own lane, but he claims that i caused him to skid when in my opinion is that he was too fast and too close to me. he suffered some small cuts and theres a scratch on his bike. we have each others name and contact number and thats it, he did not take any photo or anything else. just wanna know would i be liable for anything as the only reason i stopped was that he skidded right beside me, and i stopped to see what has happened exactly and if i could help but as i’ve mentioned earlier, he claimed that i caused him to skid.

lets say if he for some reason decided to claim from me, goes thru his insurance company, and insists that i am in the wrong causing the skid and thus the damage to his motor bike, what could i do?

were you in lane?

he cannot weave in and out traffic when it's a bend. simple rule mah. like travelling on expressway. no lane-changing when turning around bends and so on.

yeah…definitely in lane….i did mention to him straight away when he make noise that the lane i was travellin in was for right side as well, and that i was just following my own lane. fyi the junction also allowed road users to keep to the left going towards collyer quay

I remember someone mentioning this in this forum before. Just deny anything they accuse you of but meanwhile avoid creating loopholes in your statements. Seems to work not just in incidents on the road but any other situation where there are strangers who are desperately trying to cheat every cent possible off your pocket.

aiyo...the year is so small and u still can see? omg haha....anyway thanks everyone for all the advice, i guess if he tries anything, i will juz stick to my side of the story since there is no evidence that says i caused him to skid, i think maybe he doesnt have much case...and mancha, ya...i saw that post as well....i hope it won't happen in my situation
