Umm, his mother has been PR since 07 I think, so can her son be
given PR status as well? We have printed the application form but
since the boy has not arrived yet, can we submit the application
form in advance before he reach SG?
there's no guarantee for the child even if the wife is already a PR
because it's subject to approval from ICA.
there's no such thing as "sure auto PR" since PR status is a 5
years term, subject to renewal.
if it's rejected, then your family can only send appeal
letter.
there are cases where the foreign wives of citizens are not
given PR despite many appeal letters written by MPs. the wives are
only given long term pass to stay here, and must return back to
their country again and again, and also to re-apply for the long
term pass again and again.
