Honeybunz SG Jesus was born & brought up in a Jewish community. His parents are Jews and he rec'd jewish ritual when he was born (similar to Christian infant baptism). But in his prophecy and even materialised that he would be rejected by his own people. Is that the reason why he reached out his gosepl to the non Jew? Please discuss.
SingaporeMacross SG I don't think God wants all of us to go to hell, though we be gentiles. Still, that doesn't explain why all those people had to die in the OT.
Bontakun SG I dunno how to discuss that. I only read "The Jesus I never knew" by Philip Yancey and... I still dunno how to say.
Icemoon SG Yah. So the OT god is a cruel and vengeful (sp?) god. surely this cannot be Jesus Christ. So let's embrace the Marcionite theology.
Icemoon SG Jews also died in the OT. And they died minutes? after the stone tablets were given. Like Protestants like to say, when the tablets were given, 3000 died. When Jesus was resurrected, 3000 believed. Something like that lah.
