The archdiocese of singapore says ' No obligatory fast and abstinemce. Catholics r advised to make their own personal penance'

I might stay away from the computer on Friday…then again, I could be doing another article then.

Pray your rosary on Wednesday, then fast on Friday.

Honeybunz SG

I don't think I will be fasting on Friday. Did that long time ago and ended up having gastric problem.

Maybe abstinence from meat and fish. Pure veggie on Friday.
Or maybe just bread, butter and water for the whole day.

EvilDead SG

I don't know what I will be doing today. Depends how I feel.

I will abstain from stalking girls this Friday. Twisted Evil

Ash Wednesday is not a Day of Obligation, only 1 of Fast and Abstinence.

There are only 4 Days of Obligation in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Singapore:
- Ascension
- Assumption
- All Saints
- Christmas

Ash Wednesday is not a day of obligation anywhere in the world.

regards,
siginah

Haha, if you go to USA, you’ll have more than 4 days of obligation…
