yes and no
you can install two different speed of ram but they will fall back
to the slower speed one. unless you manually adjust the FSB of the
ram at bios. this will overclock the ram, which I don't advise you
to do that.
performance wise, if you overclock, I think you may perspect it a
slight ( or very minor) difference in the beginning.
