SINGAPORE : Three workers were killed and another three injured
in a shipyard accident at Pandan Road on Tuesday.
Sembcorp Marine's PPL Shipyard said at about 9.35am, the boom of a
ringer crane collapsed while performing "a normal shipyard lifting
operation".
The three fatalities were one Singaporean, an Indian national and a
Chinese national.
A company spokesperson said it was not known if the deceased were
SembMarine employees or staff working for subcontractors.
The three casualties were sent to the National University Hospital.
