SINGAPORE : ExxonMobil has raised its pump prices.
This is expected to set in motion another round of price
hikes.
From 5pm on Wednesday, the retail pump prices for its Synergy
petrol will be up by 9 cents a litre to between $1.582 and
$1.697.
Diesel will cost 6 cents more at $1.12 a litre.
ExxonMobil said the increase followed a significant rise in crude
oil and fuel prices.
To cushion the impact, the company will continue to give cash
discounts of 13 percent for petrol and 10 percent for diesel, even
as it advises motorists to use fuel wisely. - CNA/de
