SINGAPORE : Malaysian Information Minister Abdul Kadir Sheikh
Fadzir will be in Singapore for the inaugural Muzika Ekstravaganza
- a joint production by MediaCorp and Radio Televisyen Malaysia
(RTM).
The Malaysian Minister is visiting Singapore over the weekend
(April 23-24) at the invitation of Minister for Information,
Communications and the Arts, Lee Boon Yang.
Both ministers will officiate the launch of the musical gala on
Saturday.
The show will be telecast 'live' simultaneously to both
countries.
The idea of a joint production goes back to the 1980s when both
national broadcasters produced the popular Rampai Sari.
In December last year, the two ministers met in Kuala Lumpur and
agreed to resume the annual variety show. - CNA/ms
