The Singapore Civil Defence Force and the Police Force plan to
hold for the first time a joint Open Mobilisation Exercise.
Both Home Team agencies already have separate systems to mobilise
their NS personnel, but this joint exercise aims to bring a new
level of synergy and operational readiness to the two
agencies.
The joint exercise also recognises the fact that in practically all
emergencies, the civil defence and the police forces will work
hand-in-hand.
During the mobilisation exercise, an activation message will be
broadcast across local TV and radio stations.
The crest of the Singapore Police Force and the Civil Defence logo,
as well as the code words of the units involved, will be flashed on
television as official symbols of activation. - CNA
