SINGAPORE: German frankfurters have descended on
Chinatown!
Clad in traditional Chinese costume and swinging to blasting Latin
music, Erich Sollbock and his German frankfurters stall in
Chinatown bazaar stand out among others which offer the usual Lunar
New Year fanfare.
The Austrian, who has run the stall for three months, is fast
gaining popularity among Singaporeans and even tourists from
Germany and Austria.
Erich and his family have lived in Singapore for more than 10
years.
And the former restaurant chef is only too happy to be given the
opportunity to introduce German flavours in cuisine and style to
Singapore. - CNA
