SINGAPORE : Singapore's celebrities have been doing their part
to get people to donate to the Red Cross to help the tsunami
victims.
Among them is Singapore Idol Taufik Batisah.
Darren Lim also joined the many MediaCorp stars in a television
trailer that will be produced in the four languages, and will be
shown on MediaCorp's TV channels.
Taufik said: "This is the least I can do. I don't have much money.
I cannot give any amount of money to help them as much as the money
that they need, so any kind of help that I can provide besides
money, you know...I am very glad to be part of. So I hope this will
make a small of amount of difference, that people actually come and
donate for the good cause."
Darren said: "I feel that this is a duty for me as a citizen of
Singapore and also as a celebrity. Doing this, I know I can get
more people to come in and help. So I feel good about it."
Khairudin Saharom, MediaCorp Artiste, said: "It is a good
opportunity to show that I too do care, we too at MediaCorp do
care...you don't need to be there. You might be held up by work and
all that, but this is the next thing that you can do to help those
