SINGAPORE : The Singapore Civil Defence Force is sending rescue
teams to Phuket and Aceh to help in the search and rescue efforts
there.
More than 46 officers from the Disaster Assistance and Rescue Team
or DART will leave for the tsunami-hit areas on Wednesday.
They will bring with them equipment as well as rescue dogs.
SCDF says duration of the deployment will depend on the progress of
the rescue operations there. - CNA
