SINGAPORE : There was plenty of fanfare at the British High
Commission in Singapore on Friday.
Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, was in town to witness the
official launch of London's bid for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic
Games.
London and four other cities - Paris, New York, Madrid and Moscow -
are competing to be the host.
The launch kicks off Britain's lead-up to the final result which
will be announced next July in Singapore. - CNA
