SINGAPORE : All Comfort taxi drivers will be given a special
one-time bonus to help them cope with higher operating costs
resulting from high oil prices.
The handout will involve 16,098 taxi hirers.
ComfortDelgro Corporation said on Monday the special one-time bonus
will range from $240 to $360 per driver depending on the number of
years of service.
It will be given out in four equal instalments in January and
February 2005.
All hirers under the ComfortDelGro Group - comprising Comfort
Transportation, CityCab and Yellow-Top Cab - will be eligible for
the bonus as long as they are still in service during the payment
dates.
Taxi hirers are encouraged to share the benefits with their relief
drivers.
The bonus scheme is the latest in a series of measures by
ComfortDelGro aimed at rendering assistance to its hirers. -
