Reasons for hiring
Poly Grad
Well, for a job that a poly grad can handle, there isn't much
reason for an employer to pay more to hire a uni grad. Even if a
uni grad is willing to take lesser pay now, the employer will
forsee the uni grad switching job when the economy gets
better.
Reasons for hiring
FTs
For a job that requires a uni grad to handle, the employers are
tempted to hire the FTs who ask for lesser pay (e.g 2k for master
degree holder).
Reasons for
experience
1) Employer also wanted to hire those with experience is because
they are proven.
2) And also the employer worries that the person leaves after the
employer spends so much time training the person.
BTW, if statistics show that a poly grad get job easier than a uni
grad, i think it is probably due to a poly grad lowering his/her
expectations (e.g Engrng poly grads doing selling etc).
