SINGAPORE: Russia's Transaero Airlines has become the seventh
new airline this year to start flights from Changi Airport.
It will fly once a week non-stop between Moscow and Singapore,
re-establishing a link between Changi Airport and the Russian
capital.
The new service comes as both sides signalled a readiness to step
up bilateral business links.
In fact, on 15 October, Russia's biggest association of small and
medium-sized enterprises signed a memorandum of understanding with
the Singapore Business Federation to pave the way for greater
co-operation beween their business communities.
Apart from Transaero Airlines, the other airlines which started
operations at Changi Airport this year are First Cambodia Airlines,
Shandong Airlines, Austrian Airlines, Thai AirAsia, ValuAir and
Tiger Airways. - CNA
