The problem with the video is that there is a lot of misinformation. Global warming and its relation to carbon dioxide is pretty scientifically tested.

ok, from what I gather from the video, the video with the chart is showing that rising carbon dioxide follow after or is the after effect of global warming, the other way around. and volcanos emit CO2 more than the factories. sea water can emit and absorb CO2. even dead leaves emit CO2. rising number of sun spots are a recently effect. but why the rise is not explained. I like the Japanese guy saying it's natural process of nature. it's the way it is. sort of balancing itself out. nothing much to worry.

Try telling that to the people who go to the North Pole and only find water there, or people who find lakes where there were once glaciers. Part of it could well be the result of natural processes but do you really think our industrial activity has no impact whatsoever?

The makers of that video are really disingenuous. They don't tell you that volcanoes also release lots of ash and sulphur dioxide high into the atmosphere, where it also blocks out the sun's rays.

By the way the video doesn't say there is no climate change. It says climate change is not caused by carbon dioxide but by natural cyclic causes like the sun's activities. The reasons given is pretty spurious imo. And I've checked, that video is pretty much debunked by a lot of scientists.

In March 2007, Channel Four screened a film entitled "The Great Global Warming Swindle". With convincing-looking charts and appearances from numerous talking heads, the film set out to show that man-made climate change is a myth, perpetrated by governments seeking an excuse to raise taxes, environmental extremists seeking to take ever more extreme positions and climate change researchers seeking their next grant.

Whilst initally very convincing, a little research shows that the film is inaccurate, misleading, and little more than a propaganda piece.

to clarify, the video didn’t mean global warming is not true, as it is, as we can feel it, warmer and warmer. it’s saying it’s from natural/sun cause instead of blaming it all on human activities/CO2, however, they cover up the chart for the past 35yrs. no doubt, increase world population is a concern, hence the increase in human activities http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_population

I ever heard some years ago, the earth is becoming more oval shape, hence some parts of the world that is closer to sun is hotter while some part that are more away from sun is getting colder. why more oval? other greater gravity pull? or world spinning faster and faster? don’t know.

(ps: for MCK, to bring into a smaller scale, like our body, heatness is generated from one’s temper and coolness is generated when there’s fear, hungry etc. )

I think the world need to shift the debate of Global warming to Global pollution which is a much bigger threat to mankind because we could be seeing an end of a civilization within our lifespan.

The last 100 years especially after human civilization started industrialization, we have been exploiting the earth resource to the tilt. As a result, the damage to the earth eco-system has been so devastating by the current civilization that even the resource utilized by our ancestors for the past 4900 years combined to sustain their civilization pale in comparison.

I think it is too late to save the world..the seed has already been planted when human think they can conquer nature. Since industrial revolution started, human being has the mean to plunder all the worldly resources, killing record number of living species and driving them to extinction. For the last 200 years, human being have used more resources by drilling more oil, digging more minerals ,cutting more trees and killing records number of animals/fish for food.. What we have exploited in the last 100 years is more than what our ancestors have used for the last 5000 years.. Something is going to give within our lifetime, the pollution and more natural disasters will make sure we die a terrible death. It is a collective karma we have to suffer .

Global Warming is so passe... people call it Climate Change now. A more politically correct term coined for masses. You wont go wrong with such a term in the near future. lol
