Kyle Dixon wrote something similar to my writings today even
though he could not understand Chinese.
“Karma is perpetuated through habits of grasping and clinging.
It’s sustained by sentient beings out of sheer ignorance [avidyā],
the mind beguiled by avidyā perceived duality and therefore acts
and reacts from within that delusion. Those actions, along with the
subtle habits which sustain the ignorance, are one’s karma. The
fact that karma is empty or impermanent is of little value, to
overcome karma the mind which is trapped in delusion must be
recognized as empty so that the foundation for karma’s
proliferation is disarmed. Then stabilization and familiarization
with that will make it so a) new karma isn’t being generated and/or
b) the influence of karma which is being created is greatly
diminished. Once stable, karma then has to exhaust itself, the fuel
which kept the fire going is removed so karma just burns out. That
means past traces will have to surface too.”
