Meditation is for anyone who wish to find inner peace regardless of religion. Today's Straits Times has an article about a Catholic who took up meditation at Kong Meng San Phor Kark See Monastery. He said the meditation course at the temple taught him tools to find inner peace.

So, if you wish to find inner peace, do not hesitate to take up meditation course at the Buddhist temple. The temple welcomes anybody who wish to find inner peace regardless of religion.

Not advertising, should say I'm encouraging people to take up meditation. I've met many non Buddhists who are stress out in life but do not know how to destress. In fact meditation is the best form to destress though meditation is more than a tool to destress for Buddhists.

U must be one of those ... who BElieves that god created man in his own image, the reality however is that of UNKNOWLING imposing what god must be, should be , is, in other words, man created god according to his prejudices/bigotry.

Watch this video clip. Experts said everyone should meditate everyday to save the world. We can change the world by having good thoughts. 4000 people meditated in Washington and there was a significant reduction of violent crime in Washington.

yes, i have the experience, when you go near a person who has realisations, you are unable to give rise to much thinking... there is a feeling of deep relaxation and joy. They affect the environment and people around them.

Non buddhist who practice basic tranquility meditation will not achieve enlightenment or liberation which requires right view and contemplative investigation and awareness. There is therefore a difference between tranquility meditation such as that done to silence and tranquilize the mind, and the kind of meditation done to gain insight and awareness. The prior is known as shamatha while the latter is vipassana or insight meditation.

Nonetheless even gaining calmness is something good and beneficial to one’s mind
