Vajrakilaya is the manifestation and embodiment of the
activities of all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas and possesses the power
to cut through all worldly and spiritual obstacles swiftly.
This puja is a very wrathful activtiy which is traditionally
performed on the final days of the last month of the year so as to
destroy, cleanse and pacify all the negative forces, bad fortune,
undesirable circumstances, illnesses, demonic influence,
defilements and obstacles before the New Year.
On 22 January 2012 the Great Gutor Day, which is 29th day of the
12th Lunar month, the Vajrakilaya Gutor Ritual will be
peformed. During the ritual, the wrathful torma is cast out
accompanied by the sacred Black Hat Dance. This will pave the way
for a New Year replete with positive qualities.
Through particpating in this puja, all positive circumstances
such as happiness, longevity, good luck, good fortune, merit and
wisdom will increase like the waxing moon. And on the path, the
fruition of practice will be accomplished.
All are welcome to participate in this auspicious and beneficial
event.
