kopitiam drink stall commission

ahjenn SG

today i was at the kopitiam. as usual, the drink stall staff went around asking customers if they want drink. i wonder, do they get commission from sale of drinks by going around asking? what about the beer girls who serve beer? do they get commission?

Beer gals get commission. I don't know about the normal drinks stall girls if they are paid commission.

Honeystarzz SG

maybe they get to 'pocket' the drink money without boss knowing.

is this a new concept?

Yeah, actually kopitiam only charge $1 for a can of coke, they come and ask you, bring you your drink and charge you $1.30.

Are... You... Serious?

Because it's kinda lucky that I'm a student, and the aunties don't usually patronise students.

Anyway, every can of Coke I've ordered at a regular Kopitiam costs $1.30.

ditzy SG

And the ones I usually get from vending machines are 80 cents to a dollar. Hmmmm.

The beer gals get commission from the number of beer bottle caps they collect.

Vending machines > Kopitiam any day.

Vending machines don't offer a cup with ice, straw, a table, chair, cleaning etc., but pricewise...yes better.

Kopitiam as in the chain Kopitiam or downstairs kopitiam? You always get people coming and asking if u wanna buy drinks isn't it?
