Dear Dhamma friends,
We are happy to invite all to come join us complete the
"Pret"
Festival this Sunday, which is the sending off. Two weeks ago,
we
conducted "Rap Pret" which was the receiving/welcoming of our
ancestors and departed friends and relatives to share our
merits
accrued through meritorious deeds. This Sunday is the completion
of
the ceremony and the sending off. The program includes alms
offering
and Abhidhamma chanting. Our Dhamma speaker is Ven. Devinda from
the
Oxford Buddha Vihara with the topic of "How to Cope with the
vicissitudes of life'. Complete program below:
9.00 a.m. Chanting with the Sangha
9.30 a.m. Taking of 3 Refuges and Observance of the 5
Precepts,
followed by puja offerings of light, incense, flowers, water
and
fruits to the Triple Gem.
9.45 a.m. Dhamma Talk "How to Cope with the Vicissitudes of
Life"
10.45 a.m. Abhidhamma Chanting
11.00 a.m. Alms Offering, followed by Sanghadana (offering of
robes/requisites to the Sangha members). transference of
merits
11.30 a.m. Lunch Dana
