please read the whole sutra (in English) on this website.
The sutra in mandarin has three volumes. It’s written in the
sutra that whatever merits you dedicate you will get 30% while the
ones you dedicated to will get 70% . There are merits in chanting
this sutra and merits in doing charity, making offerings of fruits,
flowers, oil lamps, incense etc to Buddha, donating your time and
money to the poor etc…written clearly in the sutra.
