How about a monastery with Dharma talk throughout the week? Say, 5-7 days of Dharma talk per week? Not just 1 or 2 Dharma talk per week or per month. How about that? Agony and trouble dun take break. Need more Dharma talk to deal with life's agony and troubles. But not many monastery do that. I dun see local monastery giving 5-7 days of Dharma talk per week...

not easy know. very tiring.

(i only know MCK who can do it. hence i listen almost daily. any time, anywhere. )

but guess u not into MCK, so i provide other masters..u can download down and listen to them slowly in a mp3 player or something.

another idea is reborn in Amitabha PL, Amitabha will give talks everytime, everywhere too. hehe..:)

how to get there soonest, is recite His Name "non stopped"(when hungry/tired, eat/rest, rest finish, go back recite again), have faith in Amitabha and let go. see the result in about 3 years.

Say, 6 Dharma talk per week. If a monastery got 3 Dharma Master, each one cover 2 Dharma talk per week, 2 times 3 thats 6 Dharma talk per week. One Dharma talk let it be 1 hour. Where got difficult? Okay, if 1 hour per dharma talk too long, make it 30 minutes. Thats also good. Instead of that, now, the monastery here at most only one or two Dharma talk per week... Many monastery dun even have that... Like that how to 普渡众生? Only held 法会? Sianz...

ok, if one of them is u, how u feel about Dharma talking everyday, everymonth/every year/all the rest of your life? few months/years down the road, see if one is tire or not.

also got audience or not is another issue. think most of them rather have it "free and easy". when meet with people then say. sort of 应机说法 and 随缘 bah. hmm, got an idea, why not u befriend one (or a few of them) and have him/them be ur "personal" dharma teacher instead.

Its their job to give Dharma talk and help others isn't it? How can say tiring or not? If one hour of dharma talk, 3-4 times per week too tiring, make it 20-30 minutes then. No audience? Get the monastery volunteer to sit in lor. One two volunteer, thats audiences liao what. Right now, say, today. If I want to hear some Dharma talk this evening, not much choices in Singapore isn't it? See the problem we have here?

If you notice carefully, sometimes very few people attend dharma talks unless the talk is by some popular shifu or else not much crowd. Many people still 着相。

erm not compulsory. during Buddha time, the disciples give some dharma talks when collecting alms. or when Buddha ask them to go to who ever need it. some just sit in the cave meditating. there are other form of dharma transmission. 言教(teach by speech)is one, 身教(teach by body conduct)is another.

moreover, i think many fear say the dharma wrongly. as in the dharma master who reincarnate as fox due to that.

My local dharma teacher plans to have different dharma teachers giving talks every single day of the week (even on weekdays). Somewhere along her plan discussion she mentioned my name. I told her I don't know how to give talks... lol (but I think she was saying to take charge of the adult group, aka answer people's questions)
