I recently keep having recurring thoughts of a person praying to
a green snake altar, and bowing to it, and then the person saved in
a war by the green snake. The person in my mental images was almost
killed by a soldier, but in the nick of time a snake appeared and
scared him off.
Its like, so vivid. Its an altar with a huge picture of a snake,
and seemingly someone bows to it. Then the same thought keep coming
up, of the person being saved by this snake somehow.
Wrong forum to post this... anyway...
Snake can have many meanings... one of the meaning (that seems
to fit your dream) is that of wisdom.
Soldier represent that inflexible, only-follow-orders,
'people-tell-you-do-what-you-do what' part of one's thinking.
War means mental conflict.
So... probably the dream is telling you that you have a mental
conflict between seeking wisdom and 'just following what is being
read and told'.
The dream may be telling you to follow real wisdom and not to
absorb things and take thing inflexibly and superficially.
and that real wisdom will save you ( The person in my mental
