This is a regular on-going buddhist group lead by buddhist nuns
from a Changi temple. They organise "liberation of animals" once a
month by taking boats out to buy lobsters, crabs, fishes from the
kelong and then sailing out to sea to release them.
Donation is up to you. A donation box is at the meeting
place. The Buddhist nuns will lead chanting at the kelong before
the release of animals.
For this coming CNY , on the first day, 03/02/2011, to meet at
2.30pm at Changi Jetty , next to No 2 bus terminal.
Only for this CNY , the boat fare $13 includes vegetarian food
on the kelong. Usually about 13 to 14 boats are booked to
ferry max 12 passengers per boat to the kelong.
