The Venerable Nuptul Tenpei Nyima Rinpoche was born in Nubri, Nepal
on December 25, 1984 At the age of 7, the 4th Do Drupchen Jigme
Thubten Trilay Pal Zangpo recognized him as the reincarnation of
the great meditator Khedrup Tenpei Gyaltsen
Having recieved initiations transmissions and reveled treasures
from
His Holiness he spent 15 years deeply engaged in dharma
practice
including the completion of a 3 year retreat He engages the
broader
Dharma Community to support the livelihood of the monks and nuns
at
the monastery
Sangchen Rapten Norbu Ling Monastery is located deep within the
mountains and valleys of the Nepal Himalaya. This monastery
was established in 1992 in the Beyul Kyimolung (hidden land
peaceful valley) and blessed by second Buddha PadmaSambhava (Guru
Rinpoche). The monastery follows the Nyingmapa tradition of
Tibetan Buddhism. Its untouched beauty and serenity provides
an undisturbed environment for the practice of Dharma.
The geographic isolation of the monastery causes many
hardship. It is located 6 days walk away from the nearest
road. During winter, the road can be covered by four feet of
snow. The monks and nuns suffer from the cold weather and
from illnesses that are not easily treated due to the long distance
for getting medical aids. During summer, there will be lots
of rain and this cause too much water leaking from the roof to
their accommodation. Most of the wood inside the rooms
damaged by water leakage and some of the walls has collapsed
