long pants change to shorts not really the solutions lehsIn this weather wear anything also will be hotusually is the upper body wet not so much the bottom

Cheaper and faster way to solve MOE problem?

Now upper sec (sec3-5) students are made to wear long pants which is hot and impractical in our weather. Isnt it more sensible if the upper sec students have the option to wear shorts/berms or just change the uniform to shorts instead of long pants? Like Cat High etc.

WANTED: Smart ways to make school classrooms here cooler and more conducive to learning, so that, when implemented, they will address a longstanding bugbear of teachers and students alike.

The Ministry of Education (MOE) has posted documents on the government procurement website GeBiz asking industry specialists for 'innovative' and 'cost-effective' solutions that will not send schools' utility bills up.

troublemaker2005 SG

upp sec boys should wear short pants to review their hairy legs. we can alsoo see who are the white tigers no hair 1. like recently one transport traffic minister no eye brow 1

upp sec girls should wear miniskirt so we can insepct who got better legs. however we should have a free and easy law so that those trouts and white tigers can wear long skirt s and long pants.

or better standardize all girls and guys shoudl wear long pants, like that can see VPL

I never felt warm wearing pants during my sec sch days. In fact i prefer pants over shorts, looks much better. Even my NCC uniform also not hot at all de...that is if you don't stand under the hot sun for hours la

But is this a major problem? What about other schools that already make upper sec wear shorts like Catholic High. Do they have a problem with authority?

Is a more effective way rather than spend to air-con all classroom and redesign school building. Always see those upper sec guys roll up their pants cos hot in class. May as well keep the uniform as shorts. Easier for PE also.

MooKu SG

In times of rising prices and global warming, you want to add air-conditioning to our many many schools and their electricity bill for many many years to come?

I think part of our tax goes to funding these schools?

Surely there is a more environmentally-friendly and cost-effective long-term solution.

If seasonal countries have seasonal uniforms, we can have summer uniforms too!

Darkness_hacker99 SG

Means don't want air con, but want to solve the problem.
