whats the difference between chanting sutras and mantras?

On general terms:
mantra can be anything that is recited endlessly: amitabuddha, jehovah, knnbccb...etc....

sutras are books based on certain teachings: lotus, kama, prajnaramita...etc...

Best to seek advise from a Master in this case.

AEN will tell you that black magic is an illusion and is temporal. Knowing the way of the dharma being the sole truth will remove the black magic.

No, if you don't exist, then black magic can never affect you. Why? Black magic is created to only affect the living.

If you don't believe, and its true, it'll happen nonetheless.

If you believe, and it's not true, it'll not happen nonetheless.

What happens, happens regardless of belief. What don't happen, don't happens, regardless of belief.
