Ask your mum, becoming a vegetarian can become enlighten?

What is the quanlities for becoming enlighten?

Buddha was not a vegetarian tat time in his time.

Next, showing the Ven Xing Yun picture, what is it going to prove? Can that picture enhance their cultivation, and if by showing off, that is already proudness, so isnt buddha teaching teaches us to break from all these.

I only can say, they are just doing those 表法...things that externally express to faith, they do not really understand the dharma teaching is universal, not about races, not about religions, so long you have the correct method, the practise of eightfold path, anyone can be enlighten.

Its not like you go for prayer group, bow 1000 times, eat vegee, or so ritual you will be enlighten. If like this, many people already enlighten.

they told me to learn their prayer.

they said ur foundation nt there dun read buddhism books read confuscious zzzz

they said how can universe be no beggining no end zzz.

scold me.

sure gt ppl make ... ...

For me, if I were to land in such a situation, I would just listen.

Treat it like maths class, or history class, or whatever class you would attend in school.

Treat it like a religious study class.

Even if you don't agree it's ok -- just learn more for knowledge.

But of course you must be clear what is authentic dharma and what is not.

OK I understood .

Just say you NOT interested in Tian Dao, you have already joined the Poh Kat Si Youth group in Guang Ming Shan already. Smile And you wish to seek the Buddha path from another place. Smile

When you eat, sleep, talk, walk, drink, write, read and anythings.. If you are mindful of everythings in your daily life. It is already a form of practice.

But since you are relatively new to Buddhism, you have to hone up your understanding in the Dharma / your religion.

You have to have some faith and persistence in your learning journey. There are bounds to be some obstacles. Persistence is important. I would suggest that you attend classes regularly and volunteer in temple.

Ok I have read briefly on the front. Sounded like buddhism, but not really though. Borrowed the concept of the next Buddha and then incorporate its own teachings, not based on the Buddha, but its own. This is certainly not Buddhism.

i can oni tell wat happened to me leading me to know wats tian dao a little bit, and how i got to realise it is not buddhism

so i could say it was my initial interest in taoism -> curiosity and invitation to tian dao -> doubtful of tian dao -> research on tian dao -> knowing buddhadharma

dat's why i can say i am grateful to tian dao

there are christians converted to Buddhism and vice-versa, so its normal. its related to yin yuan. once the seed is planted in previous lifetimes, its a matter of time before you find Buddhism. If the person has no yin yuan to Buddhism, no matter what you force, or born in a buddhist family, you will find something that attract you outside.

Bangulzai SG

tian dao no haf yin yuan in me. all i was really interested in r the taoist elements n buddhist elements in tian dao. anything abt their tian dao i juz rejected and dun care abt it

you should read more on Buddhism. why not attend sunday classes at PKS and other temples. it help with your understanding on Buddhism. Focus on what the Buddha had taught. if its not taught or uttered by the Buddha, keep an open mind and judge for yourself if it is good, beneficial and lead to peace and harmony. if it is misleading and distortion of buddhism, reject it.

marcteng SG

The Buddha has said that there will be false and bogus monks and nuns, so you should be careful and judge for yourself if they are real monks and nuns.

Bangulzai SG

thank you marcteng
