Hi guys,

I am looking to get a Buddha Statue.

Would be consecrating it by a lama

Some questions

Does the statue need to be bronze if doing consecreation. Where is a good place for consecreation.

I am looking for a Buddha statue(Shakyamuni Buddha, Amitabha or Medicine Buddha)

Most likely Shakyamuni Buddha

I am looking to find a statue which resembles one that I found

maybe i can contribute my super limited knowledge :

1) Does the statue need to be bronze if doing consecreation. Where is a good place for consecreation.
[My input] No. The statue could be made of any other metals. As for good place for consecreation, I assume that you would like to do it in Vajrayana tradition. To do so, first, you have to buy the consecreation materials, which is available in Geylang. As to which centre to approach, there are many vajrayana centres in Singapore with resident lamas who could do the consecreation, and your contribution amount is entire up to you. But you have to be mindful in choosing the right centre.
