IMO,
Just treat it as a collective subconscious mind akin to the
alaya.
If one understand the principle of 'emptiness', one will know
that it is not stored in any place or any realm.
It is precisely because there is no space, time, location and
distance that allowed these 'records' to be recieved by anyone who
is attuned to recieves these impressions.
However, most of the times, these records are 'symbolic'.
