this ? And why is it so difficult to be reborn as a human being
?
Buddha said this about the
precious human rebirth, as in one who is not only human but also
had the necessary conditions for dharma. A blind turtle swims the
ocean and a lone yolk drifts across this massive ocean. Once every
hundred years the turtle comes up for a breath of air, the chance
that the turtle punctures through the yolk eventually.. the
precious human birth is rarer than this..
moreover, my analogy is this, in one's life-time, how much of the
time is one abiding in ignorance, attachment, egolistic, fear,
resented, wrong action, wrong speech, wrong intention, wrong
view.....compare to a moment of departure when one will abide in
non-folly, non-attachment, non-egolistic, non-resented, peaceful,
convicted, fearlessness, right intention and right view? rare
indeed!
