Of course not. A workable experiment does not need to be physical experiment. Especially when we are dealing with things like consciousness and memory, which is deeply personal and non-physical, or even spiritual. Brainscans can only detect patterns, but cannot interprete the precise contents of what you are remembering.

Oh yes definitely! This reminded me a true classic Zen story...

A university professor went to visit a famous Zen master. While the master quietly served tea, the professor talked about Zen. The master poured the visitor's cup to the brim, and then kept pouring. The professor watched the overflowing cup until he could no longer restrain himself. "It's overfull! No more will go in!" the professor blurted. "You are like this cup," the master replied, "How can I show you Zen unless you first empty your cup."

Question is now if the Zen master goes to the professor and keeps spouting that Buddhism is a higher science than physics... I would like to use the same adage to enlighten the Zen master.

No Buddhist master will tell you that Buddhism is higher than physics. Because they are dealing with different matters.

However, there are certain things that Buddhist discovers, that are beyond the comprehension of classical physics, which means maybe it will be some time before quantum physics can fully comprehend.

Depends on what you are trying to find out. Different things will have different ways of finding out.

To attain enlightenment, or find out other spiritual truths, or past lives, it is through meditation. Meditation is like the telescope of galileo, look into it and see your own mind.
