why do realized Buddhists talk of God?

I have been wondering why realized buddhists parallel Buddhism with Christianity. Doesn't this mean that they think Christianity is best, and must use it as a reference? I have my reasons why I object to this:
1) The creation story is childish
2) The God described in the bible has not reached enlightenment: he has hate, jealousy, pride, etc
3) The God described in the Bible has a very strong ego: he needs people to worship him, else he kills them.
4) I also hate it when during talks, spiritual masters list the Buddha, Jesus Christ, Krishna, and Miohammed. Mohammed was not even spiritual. He raped and killed, ande did not practice compassion. Nor did any so-called prophets.
There is only one reason why they include Mohammed: They are afraid of being m,assacred by the muslims. Well, we just have to be politically correct.
If I have to meditate to become one with such a being, no thanks. I am better off as I am. But if I will develop infinite compassion, then Christianity cannot be true.

You say this because you do not have a very good understanding of Buddhist philosophy. I know it is very inadequate to make a statement like that and not explain why I said that.

I can only give you something to chew on though.

If you realized "Emptiness" then you will know that there is no such thing as Christianity/Hinduism/Jesus/Buddha as understood/known/realized in your head and in everybody's head and so how would it be right to promote it and in reverse, how would it be wrong (as you are complaining) to promote it? How will it be right or wrong to promote something that does not exist?

I'm not exactly sure which talk you have attended to, but if the so call realised buddhist mentioned the above, he's not realised after all. When you attend talks by self proclaimed "realised" buddhist masters, you have to be prepared hear stuff like the above.

I also have this slight suspicion that the talk you've attended is only labelled buddhist, but belonged to other cult, which is banned in this forum. I've attended similar talk before long long time ago, that belonged to a cult group, and I never went back.

There are parallels between Buddhism and Christianity, but that doesn't mean we accept their creation story.

By the way who is it that talk of 'God'? Cos usually I don't hear often that Buddhist masters talk about God...

It is inevitable that here will be inter-religion comparisons. In a secular country like SG, we are fortunate to be exposed to different religions and philosophies, so each individual has a choice (theorectically!!!!). In truth, there is always the subtle pressure, some no choice, some wants to go to heaven, some fear offending gods, and so forth.
Without knowing other religions, we are not in any better position to decide which faith to adopt. Most people wouldn't be bothered or take the trouble to find out or want to learn. Just go for the promises, never dare to ask questions, believe blindly. Ignorance and fear gripe these people. Even if for instance, they are Christians, then they found later that Christianity is not what they could believe, yet they don't have the courage to stand up and make a change. So same go for other religions too. Some even considered it a sin or apostasy to change faith. That is tyranny and even persecution but how many would stand up and say so?

The best is to be a FREE-THINKER. Free to accept or reject. No particular faith to stuck to and hold on to blindly and assiduously. There is no proof or dis-proof about a 'supernatural' unseen being - whatever it is call!
Every religion has moral teachings that closely parallels the thoughts of philosophers past and present, including my great-granny. Accept the good and meaningful, reject the bad and nonsense.

Religion is like a package - comes with good, bad, ridicularities, customs, supersititions, prejudice, irrelevance, spiritualism, sense and nonsense. It would take a genius to sort these out. Ever wonder why geniuses are free-thinkers?

I agree with you. Each religion has its good points that we can learn from them.

However there is something missing in all those religions -- the path that leads to Enlightenment and Liberation. Therefore you should follow and practise the dharma, practise mind purification and mind training and insight practices, and not just 'avoid evil and do all that is good'.

i depend on the mind.

hence it's best to investigate the mind.
if i'm having a bias mind, it'll say geniuses like Albert Einstein is buddhism. why? cannot ah? the mind is "bias" mah.
sever the "bias-ness", and there's the Real Buddhadharma(a.k.a. Buddhism)!

and buddhism is about "freedom" thinking. go figure.

Let see what my free mind thinks of your statement. First, FREE-THINKER is not a religion, therefore the 'religion package' I mentioned doesn't apply. But if you think free-thinkers are perfect beings - that of course is your flawed thinking!
I would say unless your mind can be controlled or manipulated, most people are free to think. However, this 'free' is in form but not in substance. Let say, you are a believer in a religion and therefore you have to be a faithful follower, which may not allow you to thinking freely!
I can agree there is freedom to think but to think freely?

Got different level of love.
Love encompass more than an individual. It not about just "a me"

There kind of love is ignorance - which will lead to suffering unknowingly.
For example: You try to help someone and yet your actions will creating more suffering and unhappiness. etc.
