You will be compassionate, you will be a Bodhisattva and engage in the midst of Samsara, the world of suffering. But meanwhile he is also aware of the dream-like nature, so the pain is also not our kind of samsaric pain without awareness which means suffering stuck to yourself, it is 'divine pain' - the sense of compassion. As I mentioned, Bodhisattva is 'Jue, You Qing', compassionate and aware. Ultimately samsara is not that real anymore, you are not 'caught up with it', yet due to compassion the Bodhisattva remains in Samsara to help people. "Hurts more, bother you less" - and very important to honour both sides. Smile

Compassionate is quite automatic in most of us - if you see lots of people in front of your eyes - suffering, I think you will naturally feel a sense of compassion for them. But the Bodhisattvas have even greater compassion than us, they can even engage in even the deepest hell to wake us up.

If you want the buddha's powers for the sake of saving the beings, you will achieve this objective eventually.
But if you are after it due to your greed, you will never get it.

Buddha's power is attained when one practise hard enough and totally get rid of all attachment as well as greed, hatred and delusion. We have been in samsara since no beginning in the past, how can you expect to achieve this in a few years time (let's assume you get to know buddhism for few years only)
