people come sgforums to disscuss topics and make friends ok. not to make money (out of religion somemore). oceanos is a very good example i just highlighted. he makes money by teaching people the wrong things

I do not think that Oceanos carry out anything under the name of a religion, or Buddhism, what he practce belongs to 'pagan'/'new age'/'witchcraft'. Therefore it is inappropriate to comment it here - in a Buddhist forum. And whether it is scam job, I would say no, there are such practises.

And whether what others teaches is right or wrong, you can only agree or disagree, but you cannot criticise them. If you think 'Religion X' is teaching the wrong things, so be it, but do not go overboard because this is Singapore.

Again, that is showing that your prejudiced views against some people or some spiritual practise. For example, you do not believe in Christianity, will you say that Jesus is a con man? I do not think you have the right to make such comments on others and their practises.

I will never say that anyone is a con man. If he is really a con man, then he would already have been punished under law.

But what you are saying here, could land yourself in trouble under law.

Saying that others are conmen without evidence means you are directly insulting others in an open forum such as this, and could land yourself in Court for defamation. Just because you think their practises don't work, doesnt mean it is a con job, because it is a spiritual practise and belief. Likewise if you do not believe in Christianity, do you have the right to criticise them openly and say that the bible is a con job?

Wicca/Witchcraft/Neopagan is recognised in Singapore as a legalised 'religion'. Just because it is not one of the 4 top religions, doesn't mean you can criticise them. Whether you respect them is one matter, what I am pointing out to you is, in Singapore, we have to uphold religious tolerance.

I do not care which religions you respect, whether you only respect Christianity or respect 4 religions, or 100 religions, isn't it the same thing? Even if you do not respect witchcraft, I dont care, everyone has their rights. However you do not have the right to defame them, that is for certain, that is under Law.

I am not protecting anyone in this forum, neither do I share Oceanos's practise nor beliefs, and in fact, I stated very clearly that Buddhism does not endorse such practises.

The purpose of me replying you, and not just removing your post is:

1) I need to "remind" people that this is a BUDDHISM forum, not a Religion bashing corner, and Singapore has tight laws on religion bashing and we must uphold religious tolerance.
2) That it is against law to insult and defame other people, and the forum does not allow personal insults.
3) It is off topic in the first place to have such arguments. This is a Buddhist forum.
