CAN I PRACTICE DAHARMA WITHOUT ANY FORM OF RITES?

I WANT TO TRAIN MY THOUGHTS AND INTENTIONS. WHICH I BELEIEVE ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT ASPECTS OF ME.

issit "Form" you are angry about or is it the "I" inside you ?

When others are in trouble,like financial problem, boy-girl relationship,family quarrel , they used "Form" to worship Buddha , but their heart is still Pure without ideas of harming others

but ...

If you used a discriminating mind to view them ,arent you not practicing humility and good example for the teachings

Show me what is "Form" and I shall show you what is the "I" that is bothering you

sounds to me u are not being receptive (open-minded about other views )

IMHO , you should she d your armour and be open to Buddha's teaching

Charity , Morality and Precepts
isnt that what Buddha taught ?

Hi, firstly, I would like to ask you do you post about this in the 'Thai Buddhism' topic bcos somehow you relate 'rituals, rites, and forms' with Thai Buddhism?

Or is it because you just so happened to pop into this topic, and decided to ask a question which has no relevance to the topic?

If it is the latter, may I suggest that you create another topic so that it will not be off-topic.

But if it is the former, could you pls tell us why do you think Thai Buddhism is related to 'rituals, rites, and forms'?

I JUST DONT AGREE WITH BOURCHI'S VIEW.

I fully agree with you about worship, and that no one can save us except ourself - our aim is to Ming Xin Jian Xing.

However, Worshipping has never been part of Buddhism - although we do pay respect and venerate Buddhist images. This form of respect also lessens our egoic mind which will hinder us from enlightenment. We do not, however, superstitiously worship Buddha - as Buddha said he is not a deity, not a god, and did not ask people to worship him. He says that everyone of us can be enlightened just like him Smile
