Looking for a place to meditate

I am looking for a place to meditate in Singapore. It hopefully has to be:

1)Clean

2)Quiet

3)Free of Charge

Do you know of any? Please let me know. Thanks.

I would recomend on your own bed or bed room. No problem doing so.

All you need is 4x4ft (for a big person) of space is enough. Punggol maybe is too big. Smile

The mind is not silence, even our own heart beat is too noisy. When mind is silence, everyway is a good place.

Unless your room or your home is not quiet enough, I think no need to go elsewhere. I find my room the perfect place to meditate.

But there are hundreds of Buddhist monasteries in Singapore, many of them do have places for meditation. Not only Singapore Buddhist Lodge.

I know this sounds far but its a nice, scenic place. Can go with a friend once in a while.

Bus: Take bus 925 from Woodlands Interchange. Alight at Kranji Reservoir Park

You can choose to find a spot at the park or proceed to Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve.

Ya, Kranji war cemetery is next to it , evening time it is nice place ....

Your heart is a good place , you have never realised by transforming your little corner at home , you can meditate .Go far away also no use
the chirping of birds and some ppl quarrelling 70 m away is enough to arouse your anger and break your calm

Hmm we must train to be able to meditate anywhere anytime... Cemeteries are perfect places to meditate according to the Thai Forest Monk tradition. Furthermore at Kranji Dam area, you also get nice scenic water as well as swampy decaying matter to meditate on. I also sometimes meditate at Fort Canning.

There are definately better environments for cultivation. In my case meditation in my bedroom is sometimes detrimental to my health since I have 2 smokers at home. The noise doesnt kill me but the smoke does in the long run.

where else but in your own toilet while your doing your business , clean , i hope, quiet, free of charge Very Happy

If that is not good enough for you, theres a place under shers bridge near suntec, its clean and quiet sort of a park just beside the kallang river. Wink

Greetings,

Its not possible to meditate in graveyards as there is no clean flat ground to meditate, also there are many mosquitoes at night.

This is same for any shady park, there are really many kinds of bugs.

Toilet is not a good place either as you cannot sit in lotus position, talking about spacious toilet, not in my case.

I really need a really clean and quiet place, with privacy, to perform regular meditation. The only place I know is the sponsored room of monks, not for me, I do not have a quiet house, as there are many members of family.

First few hours very quiet Very Happy

After a few hours near midnight...unusually quiet Surprised

1 or 2 hours start to feel a bit of cold...air pressure starts to differ Twisted Evil

after the so called atmosphere change DO not think of "funny" things

Closing on to around 4 am the atmosphere starts to change...body aches... Sad

Around 6 am...morning pee Laughing
