how old then can take the highway code test?

does anybody knows how old can take the highway code test? because i heard must take already then can take driving test. and i heard its difficult. i only want to take the highway code test first then when i reach 18 then i take driving test.

If you're a quick learner, you have more common sense, or your observation in daily life is good...you can pass easier.

I took my basic theory and passed on first attempt without ever reading any book, never studied or asked for any questions anywhere.
