An Eternal Now SG I don't think there are any particular things about tattoos in Buddhism as far as I know... But tattooing Buddhas, etc, is not so respectful, I feel. I've seen some people do that.

An Eternal Now SG Nope... it's part of the 32 Major Marks and 80 Minor Marks - physical characters of the Buddha and the universal monarch. It is "natural" so that say - not artificially made. My Master Shen Kai also had the Swastika on his chest. I'm not sure whether he got explained before. But it's not his tattoo or carving.
