Filial Piety

There are children who are filial to their parents, but there are also some who are not filial to their parents, so in sg there is a need to for the court to impose parents maintenance act.

Buddha also spoken on the filial piety, that its impossible to repay back to parents to their kids and that its a bad kamma for one to be unfilial to their parents isnt it.

that means the kindness showered to children by parents are impossible to repay back.

So if the children are unfilial to their parents, they reap bad kamma lor.

If you kill your parents (father or mother), you will go to hell.
Killing your siblings also will cause u to go to hell.

Yes, indeed, it is difficult to repay the debt to parents, especially mothers isnt it, as they carry the child inside their womb for 10 months or so.

What is the kamma for being unfilial to one's parents? will cause one to be reborn in avici hell isnt it?

Does being filial also means we have pander to all the wishes and wants of our parents? Including extra requests and sometimes not-so-practical wants (note: not need, but wants), just to make them happy or satisfy some emotional need?

If we don't fulfill such wants, does it make us unfilial?

What is considered unfilial?

What if the parents gave birth, but never took great care of the children or teach them well, but leave them to their own devices. Then the children managed to grow up, but due to the kind of family environment they were brought up, they became uncaring or 'boh chap', or may have some dislike/hatred towards their parents.

Are the children considered unfilial in this case? Can the parents still expect 100% filial piety from their children?

What kind of karma will result for both parents and children?

The Buddha told us there is no way we can repay the kindness parents showered to us. Even if the parents abandon the child at birth or neglected, still the kindness is very great, especially the mother who carry you inside her womb for 10 months or so.

If you kill your parents, you will be heading to hell in your next life.
unfilial also cause you to be reborn in hell.

What if the mother abandon the baby bec. don't want to have another mouth to feed, or bec. it's a gal. Then 30 yrs later, come back to haunt the child who is now an adult and suddenly wants the child to call her mother (coz maybe needs the child to support her)?

The poor child who had been adopted by another family, unable to accept having another mother, refused, and gets bad karma, as a result? This will be terrible. Confused

sure got kamma. whatever we do, whether good or bad, sure have kamma.
u know the guilt of the mother cause her to think of the abandoned or aborted child is already kamma she suffers in this lifetime, not to mention the next life.
