Hotel New World Collaspe. Me and family just moved into the HDB
Masionette at Tampines.
Those days, havnt even start building the interchange, so the
make shift interchange was downstairs my block.
We were taking bus to grandma's house. Suddenly everyone
have a night newspaper in their hands and were all absorbed in
reading about the collaspe.
I later joined a group of Volunteers that ever was assisting for
the dig for survivors. Their description of what they saw,
was interesting.
And recently, was involved in a discussion about volunteering
services overseas. Might just allocate some time to do such
trainings and volunteer overseas properly.
That episode in Singapore's history was a good
experience for those in the medical and rescue vocation which
prepared them well for the disaster relief work that they are
doing now.
