Remembering Singapore the way it was

Time moves pretty fast. Speaking of those days, I'm probably the last 20th century kid who still remember everything, before 21st century.

the Bear SG

what i really miss is all the fun fairs that used to spring up all over the island during the sch holidays..where you would play tikam tikam and win all the soft toys and hear the hum of the electric generator...

also i miss the 7 month getai in the past when it was still all about hokkien opera and traditional hand puppets shows...

The fruit that I have in mind to put into her mouth would not kill her but will surely give her some throat discomfort>LOL

Short Ninja SG

Marco_Simone SG

Oh yes, how come I don't seem to see any pong pong trees around nowadays? But there were so many of them when I was studying about them in pri sch.

I still remember the old Hougang Wet Market that has been torn down

Lor Mee was at $1.50, and so was a nice bowl of laksa with lots and lots of ingredients....

I think they were uprooted and made obsolete when the garmen decided to plant edible fruit trees instead. And also the game of hantam bola has lost its popularity>LOL
