Hi all,
just wanted to test out the idea of fixing a location for our
weekly badminton. My proposal is as such: We alternate play between
Toa Payoh and Woodlands every week. ie. We play at Toa Payoh this
thurs, so we play at Woodlands next thurs.
The exact venue of the courts have yet to be confirmed. However,
tentatively, they will be at neighourhood schools which are within
walking distance of Marsililng, Woodlands or Toa Payoh MRT.
The cost will be about $60 a session for 2 courts 3 hrs 7-10pm
inclusive of shuttles(Protech Tournament or Victor Champion). Of
course if we use cheaper shuttles, the cost will be lower. Anyway
those details can be worked out later.
The current target to hit will be 12 people for the Woodlands
session and Toa Payoh session respectively which works out to be $5
per session. Costing goes by per session, but we must pay up
3 months in advance. Once we hit 12 pax, I can go
ahead and officially write in to request.
By block booking schools for our badminton sessions, we save the
hassle of waking up early to fight with others for a place to play.
At least we have a fixed location there waiting for us. We also
won't have to fear that the lights will shut off at 10pm sharp ie.
Sports Halls.

EDIT: For Toa Payoh, we are also considering SPANS clubhouse. It
will be 3 courts 2 hours.
