Can a car price be so low???

bennett_isaac SG

I just saw an add on Ebay quoting the price for a 2007 Toyota VIOS 1.5 J (auto) at S$48,000. The caurrent market price is about 56-58K, so this is really cool.

You can find it here:

http://cgi.ebay.com.sg/Toyota-Vios-1-5-J-Automatic-NEW-CAR-BEST-BUY_W0QQitemZ290162934969QQihZ019QQcategoryZ72451QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

The price quoted is WITH COE, and does not exclude GST or quote the price after cash rebate like most agents try to do as a gimmick! Really cool!!!

Oh yeah, its real cool, borneo motors should be close to bankrupt by now. Laughing

so_nice SG

u got some kind of agreement wif the BM SEs huh?

erayvne SG

This is definitely not from Borneo Motors.

If it is, (chances are damn low), its probably a showroom/test drive car.

Anyone who contact, please be mindful of any catch in between.

bennett_isaac SG

IT"S REAL!!!!! Based on a patent process such a price is the result. ABSOLUTELY NO CATCH.

But I didn't know showrooms sold their test cars though!! That's ridiculous. I know that BMW QC standards are so high that even a dent on a new unit will make it eligible for scrap metal. So I think for them test cars are not for sale.

erayvne SG

so r u the guy selling?

anyway, it must be a test drive or showroom car from borneo if its real.. but its weird that its on ebay..

thats out of the box if its from borneo.

bennett_isaac SG

No lah I'm not selling, but I made some enquiries with the seller. It's actually pretty cool...once you find out that it's not a gimmick!

Guess the guy who posted it thought Ebay has good 'reach' or somethin'.

ditzy SG

But you know, there is always some catch buying things from ebay. Laughing For one thing I know no credit card has a 50k credit limit, unless you earn like 25K a month, but then who earns 25K a month, just so he can get a vios off ebay? I believe you have to drive the car first, must be some strings attached such as cash terms only.

erayvne SG

who exactly is the guy?

anyone here with the heart to ring Borneo Motors up to check the authenticity of this deal?

and right, who can pay 50k with credit card in a day? is there no loan?

winson93 SG

eh... i tink the seller is him leh... bennett_isaac....

on eBay:

"Meet the seller
Seller: bennett_isaac( 0 ) New eBay Member (less than 30 days)
Member: since Sep 21, 2007 in Singapore"

erayvne SG

Lol, n he say he's not..

anyway I smsed the guy, its showroom car,

but say not frm borneo motors, what his company will liaise with borneo motors, want know how, jus email him..

sounds like a freaking scam to me, if I feel cruel enuff tmr morning, I gonna ring borneo up to find out wtf is going on.

why wld borneo in right frame of mind tasked some weird company to sell their showroom cars n at such low price?

borneo motors would hv done it themselves! borneo motors on ebay wld b the funniest automobile news ever!

scam scam scam!
