LV without logo

Cecilia.beckam SG

This year, LV's new handbags downplay the Logo, leaving only a small bag LV logo in the corner.

How do you think?

Will you take a LV without logo LV?

the Bear SG

is it as butt-ugly as most of their overpriced crap?

ditzy SG

Wow, so its true, people really buy LV bags just for the logo!

FireIce SG

spend so much $ of cos logo must be there (either big or all over) for all to see tt im carrying LV!!!

subtle is good.
those who know will know

LV shop is about the only place where the sales people actually do work and show the product - seriously if I was to burn cash, I will burn it at LV. other branded shops, they take one look and huddle together to chit chat.

ditzy SG

They better! They get like 20% commission anything they sell!

the Bear SG

20% commission.. wow..

consider this... 20% goes to the sales person.. add to that the shop rent, the advertising, the decorations, the cost of flying the damned things to the shop, the cost of staff, the cost of this and that and this and that...

the cost price for the manufacture of the $2,000 bag you bought was probably like.. what? $30?

ditzy SG

The only reason why Coach can sell at a lower cost than LV is because they don't lie about their manufacturing.

Nay having been using LV wallets for the past few years...i must say LV is definitely not over priced.....It is definitely worth every single cent paid for especially the quality and durability of its products....Talk about overpiced...you should be looking at ferragamo, bottega and stuffs...><"

As for the new LV with a small logo....that should be the way to go...hate the logo when it is all over the product itself...way too flashy...><"

Some people just stopped by the price

the Bear SG

Some people just stopped by the price

some are stopped by how stupendously ugly and overpriced it is...

and a lot are stopped by how the ah bengs, ah lians and the PRCs now brandish it around like it was some kind of trophy until it's a garish and vulgar sign of their sheer crass

Yes, we can see the LV logo everywhere on the street

LOL, which brand do you like?

honey icy SG

Yes, we can see the LV logo everywhere on the street

There maybe replicas everywhere too.

the Bear SG

LOL, which brand do you like?

brands?

what would i do with a brand?

why would any reasonable person pay a premium for something totally intangible which is worthless other than to stoke their own ego and give themselves a false sense of achievement?

Cecilia.beckam SG

Oh, I appreciate your ego. Sometimes, the brand means quality and guarantee.

So sometime we need brands

the Bear SG

the "guarantee" you pay for is actually a bunch of marketers taking advantage of you...

it has come to this cynical and horrific state in the world now..

i bring you this article.. it's all about a generic product.. yet if you go to the supermarkets, you'll see the price difference.. but everything is exactly the same!

=> Bottled water has become liquid gold

frankly, take it from a typical guy with lots of typical guy friends.. NO ONE CARES if you are carrying a branded bag or not.. NO ONE CARES except people who don't matter...

those who matter are happy you turn up and are their friends... they do not care if you have a $2000 bag or a bargain bin bag... and if they do and judge you on it, you should start looking for better and less shallow friends...

think about it

I wonder where this discussion will this leads us to...?

the Bear SG

I wonder where this discussion will this leads us to...?

i bet some of the idiots from SC will come in and hammer the MIW blaming them for turning the people into "materialistic *$&^#"

maxsee SG

Different ppl diff perceptions...beside if u got spare cash lying around...there is really nothing wrong to splurge on branded goods....

Just like driving cars, some would drive BMW while other would just drive Toyota....

All in all, important thing is whether you can afford it and as long as it is your hard earned money, there really is nothing wrong with it....><"
