My team exchanges all information, and I'm comfortable with that
because of my experience with cross-trained teams during NS - at
any given point, each team member knows what jobs the others have
on their plate. One way or another, the job's got to be done and if
you're going to hoard everything for yourself you're just taking a
voluntary trip up sh!t creek and throwing away the paddle.
At any given time, there might be one person working at 120% and
another working at 75%, so the load may as well be shared between
the two with the understanding that the favour will be returned
when the reverse situation occurs. If my team members didn't know
how to take over, I'd be stuck with too much work and there would
be no choice for me.
As with any cross-trained team, each member has a specialty, so
there's no need to worry about redundancy.
