Wanda SG Chinese saying goes: Hao2 ma3 bu4 chi1 hue2 tou2 cao3 (spelling not v good). Having said that, there was only 1 instance when I felt like joining back the same co, in a different division under a different boss, but in the end I didn't.
Gordonator SG i have a senior who came back after a few months of resignation. we welcomed his return since he's a capable person, a valuable asset.
Gordonator SG my senior left because we lost a old customer to a competitor. he is very familiar with the customer so i guess our competitor offers him a better deal to come over to take care of the customer. turns out he don't like the new company's system of working and chooses to come back to us. we of course gladly took him back and offered him a higher position.
Mospeada SG i did... i left the company abt 6 years ago...and rejoined the company recently... now my pay doubled...and i got a room...
Gordonator SG seems like majority of the people who rejoined their ex-company choose to do so only if the company offers a higher position or a higher pay. would u have joined back if the position is still the same before u resigned?
Mospeada SG no way... over my dead body cos it wun look good on ur cv.... it will give ur future or potential the feeling that u are using resignation as a threat to obtain higher salary....
Wanda SG Unlikely, since one probably left that position for some valid reason(s), unless the situation has improved (e.g. better boss, higher pay) and the resignation happened not too long ago, then I supposed one can consider if he still likes the job.

DeadPoet SG I rejoined my ex-organization not because of higher salary but because of the job nature. I was posted to a new department with new responsibilities. If they had given me back my old job as an Assistant Manger I would not have agree.
