i will usually only tender my resignation after i have secured a job sumwhere else...

i tot i cud quit this july and go to spore to work, but looks like situation is not permitting Crying or Very sad i mite have to stick here until maybe end of this year or next year

depends on ur employment contract also, usually will need u to give at least 1 month notice, and of cos if u wan to get a good testimonial to give to ur next employer, better to leave when everyone is happy Wink

but there are special circumstances you cannot stand ur boss and tender before securing a job, or another company promised you a post (know that person quite well) but din give it to you after you tender. (the 2nd case is the worst Evil or Very Mad )

No need technique wan lah........ as long as your letter is very clear as to the facts and the exact date of your last day of service (because you have to serve notice as per Section 10 of the Employment Act mah........). Hence a letter containing 2 words: I quit! is not advisable.... for ambiguity.

Of course, your letter must be properly addressed to the company lor......
